CHATEAU ST. JEAN WINERY

(Sonoma County)

In 1973, the 250 acre estate winery was established in Sonoma County with the belief that this land would evolve into one of California’s finest winegrape appellations. Personal involvement, pride and a tenacious commitment to quality are the roots of the Chateau St. Jean story. It is the only winery ever to have placed 5 wines in a single Wine Spectator Top 100 Rating.

CHATEAU ST. JEAN Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

This Chateau St. Jean Sonoma Coast wine is 100% Pinot Noir and displays the hallmark aromas of red cherry, strawberry, black tea and notes of tanned leather.  The inviting aromas lead to a juicy palate where the red fruit flavors ring true along with touches of cinnamon and allspice. The generous core of fruit is balanced with the bright acidity you would except from a cooler climate.

CHATEAU ST. JEAN Cinq Cepages 2011

Sonoma County

The 2011 Cinq Cépages offers layered aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and star anise spice. Intriguing, nuanced notes of violet and graphite add depth to the nose. The aromas lead to a plush palate with flavors of blueberry, fresh Santa Rosa plum and blackberry. Additional flavors of cocoa powder and brown spice add to the complexity. The full-bodied wine has fine grained tannins that offer solid structure but do not overwhelm. The wine, slow to evolve in the glass, shows density and elegance. In signature Cinq Cépages form, this wine combines the strength of the diverse Sonoma County region to create a well-balanced, complex and powerful wine.
